This webinar will examine the common myths and stereotypes that continue to influence sexual assault investigations and prosecutions. It will also explore the legal issues surrounding the admissibility of a complainant's prior sexual history, including evidence introduced by either the defence or the prosecution, and consider its impact on the fairness and integrity of criminal proceedings.
This 60-minute session will be conducted in English. Participants will be able to access live, automated translated captions through the Zoom platform. All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
The webinar is open to all IAP organisational and individual members.
