The presentation will provide delegates with a brief introduction to cryptocurrencies, highlighting key areas for criminal investigations, how to request key data from Coinbase to support prosecutions, and opportunities for asset seizures.  The presentation will also outline key wins from a recent fentanyl investigation, along with other case studies where collaboration between the private sector with law enforcement agencies and public prosecutors have resulted in successful outcomes.

Coinbase is a platform for buying, selling and trading crypto.  As part of their business, they engage in strong partnerships with law enforcement to detect and prevent the illicit use of cryptocurrency.

This 60-minute webinar will be held in English and no interpretation will be provided.  However, attendees can access live automated translated captions via the Zoom platform during the webinar.  All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.  The webinar is open to all IAP organisational and individual members.
