All organisational and individual members of the IAP are invited to join us for a webinar organised by the International Association of Prosecutors Global Training Academy in conjunction with Asset Reality.

Speaker: Aidan Larkin, Co-founder and CEO, Asset Reality

Facilitator: Irina Beridze, Executive Programme Manager, International Association of Prosecutors

The majority of agencies struggle with managing seized assets. Dusty and dirty cars deteriorating in storage facilities, complex assets lost, mismanaged or stolen, resources wasted trying to build bespoke software solutions that are often out of date or ineffective before they’ve even launched, are all too familiar tales internationally.  Worse still, how many assets are not recovered due to a lack of capacity to seize and manage assets effectively?

In the latest FATF guidance on improving asset recovery, seized asset management plays a significant role - it’s mentioned 148 times. Future mutual evaluations will seek evidence of better systems to improve asset recovery outcomes. From quickly freezing and seizing crypto to preserving the value of depreciating assets.

During the webinar, insights will be shared into how other agencies are facing these challenges and share the opportunities (and pitfalls) in strengthening asset management infrastructure, including setting up government wallets to seize and manage crypto assets.

This 60-minute webinar will be conducted in English, with no interpretation provided. However, participants can access live-translated captions via the Zoom platform during the session. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance. The webinar is open to all IAP organisational and individual members.

Please note that this webinar will be recorded.
