Webinar: Investigations Against Darknet Marketplaces - Best Practice Review

All organisational and individual members of the IAP are invited to join us for a webinar organised by the Cybercrime Network of the International Association of Prosecutors.

The webinar will discuss investigations against darknet marketplaces - in particular, against “Archetyp Market” and the German-language Marketplace “Crimenetwork”. 

The presentation will introduce the approach taken by the Cybercrime Centre of the Public Prosecutor General´s Office to tackle darknet marketplaces. It will look at how they attempt to identify the administrators and also prosecute the vendors and the buyers. 

The speaker will discuss the recent takedowns of Crimenetwork, the largest German-language marketplace on the darknet, and Archetyp Market, the largest marketplace on the dark web, administered by a German national resident in Spain. Both takedowns were supported by Dutch law enforcement authorities, who helped shut down the infrastructure and seize the cryptocurrencies.
 
This 60-minute webinar will be held in English. Attendees can access live translated captions via the Zoom platform during the webinar.
