Facilitator: Irina Beridze, Executive Programme Manager, International Association of Prosecutors
The justice system has undergone a significant technological transformation, with a focus on decentralization and digitalization. While these advancements have brought about improvements in efficiency and access to justice, they have also presented new challenges. This presentation will delve into these challenges and explore potential solutions.
The rapid development of blockchain technology and the rise of cryptocurrencies have created new challenges for justice systems. The anonymous nature of blockchain transactions, combined with the decentralized nature of crypto platforms, makes it difficult to trace assets and hold criminals accountable.
The webinar will include reference to case studies highlighting the need for modern and integrated strategies and also the impact of decentralization: cryptocurrency challenges, social media regulation and infrastructure security. It will also consider solutions and best practices for a crypto-ready future.
This 60-minute webinar will be held in English and no interpretation will be provided. However, attendees can access live automated translated captions via the Zoom platform during the webinar. All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance. The webinar is open to all IAP organisational and individual members.
Please note that this webinar will be recorded.
