To provide a forum for sharing experience and expertise on prosecuting conflict-related sexual violence crimes.
PSV aims to facilitate the development of progressive approaches to sexual violence prosecutions as a contribution towards improving accountability for these crimes.
Over the past two decades a new global body of expertise has emerged regarding the prosecution of conflict-related sexual violence crimes. To date, however, there has been no integrated forum for prosecutors at the national and international levels grappling with the challenges presented by conflict-related sexual violence cases.
There has been no mechanism to pool know-how, exchange ideas, problem solve or share successful strategies in the pursuit of more progressive approaches to these cases.
PSV answers a concrete need for support and professional engagement for prosecutors working on – or interested in – conflict-related sexual violence cases.
