Afghan Prosecutors in Exile

6/7/2023

Dear IAP Members,

We want to draw your attention to a matter of great importance. For over a year and six months, approximately two hundred Afghan prosecutors have been residing in Pakistan, facing numerous challenges that have significantly impacted their lives. The IAP is in close contact with over two thousand former Afghan prosecutors.

These dedicated prosecutors have endured economic hardships, the unfortunate deprivation of their children from education, the burden of high living costs, and a sense of uncertainty regarding their future. We must support and advocate for them in their time of need.

With utmost determination, the decision-making board of the Association of Afghan Prosecutors in Pakistan has decided to raise their voices for justice and bring their plight to the world's attention through international media on 6 June 2023.

As the primary international organisation supporting prosecutors, the Association of Afghan Prosecutors in Pakistan contacted us. We must unite to address this issue and ensure their demands for justice resonate globally.

We kindly request the participation and assistance of all members in this endeavour. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and shed light on the challenges faced by these distressed prosecutors.
