Wildlife Justice Commission side-event – 26 May 2023

The Wildlife Justice Commission is holding a hybrid side-event at the 32^nd Session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice to promote the more effective use of joint investigations and specialised investigation techniques to address environmental crime and the corruption that enables it.  The event will also highlight the role of women in combatting crimes that affect the environment.  The event will include speakers from the UNODC Global Programme on Crimes that Affect the Environment, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Thai Customs, the South African Financial Intelligence Centre and the Wildlife Justice Commission who will present case studies demonstrating the use of specialised investigative techniques and joint investigations when investigating and prosecuting environmental crimes.
