5/2/2019
The UNODC, CTED and IAP have jointly developed a Practical Guide for Requesting Electronic Evidence Across Borders from Private Communications Service Providers (the Guide).
The Guide contains information to help identify steps at national levels to gather, preserve and share electronic evidence wiht the overall aim to ensure efficiency in MLA practice, and includes a compilation of country-specific focal points, legal frameworks and practical requirements for informal (police-to-police) and formal MLA cooperation when required.
