It is with great pleasure that the IAP, in partnership with UNESCO, announces the forthcoming Massive Open Online Training Course (MOOC) on Investigating and Prosecuting Crimes against Journalists, and Promoting Freedom of Expression.

This two-week MOOC will start on February 27, 2023, at 1:00 PM CET
The IAP calls for prosecutors and legal professionals worldwide to register for the course, which is entirely free, and experience this unique opportunity.
The objectives of the MOOC are as follows:

  • To build the knowledge of prosecutors and legal professionals and make them more aware of how to conduct and supervise effective investigations and prosecutions of crimes against media workers.
  • To develop a more comprehensive understanding of national and regional strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to the protection of journalists and their sources, victims, and witnesses; and
  • To foster regional and international cooperation among prosecutors and legal practitioners for ending impunity of crimes committed against journalists and media workers.

The IAP has assembled a great cast of international experts to share their expertise with the participants.
For more details about the course, please visit the course web page or contact Ms. Irina Beridze, Executive Programme Manager of the IAP, at epm@iap-association.org.
We look forward to welcoming you all in February!
