Location: The International Expert Conference will be held in the Peace Palace in The Hague, the Netherlands, on 1-2 December 2018.

The International Nuremberg Principles Academy together with the Centre for International Law Research and Policy, are pleased to announce the program and invite you to the International expert conference on "Integrity in International Justice", on 1-2 December 2018. Registration is open now!

Twenty years after the adoption of the Statute of the International Criminal Court in 1998, we see increased pressure on multilateralism and scrutiny of the operation of international courts, including on integrity grounds. However uncomfortable at times, this pressure – which may well grow in coming years – provides a welcome opportunity to revisit the role of the individual in international justice institutions, and to open a new discourse on integrity in international justice.

The conference is based on this concept note. The conference has 37 papers organized in six sessions: 1. Meaning of Integrity, 2. Awareness and Culture of Integrity, 3. The Role of States, 4. The Role of International Justice Institutions, 5. Integrity and the Lens of Cases, and 6. Independence and Integrity.
Confirmed speakers include Adedeji Adekunle, Payam Akhavan, Fatou Bensouda, Olympia Bekou, Morten Bergsmo, Emiliano J. Buis, Andrew T. Cayley, Hans A.A. Corell, David Donat-Cattin, Gunnar Ekeløve-Slydal, Gregory S. Gordon, FAN Yuwen, Jan Fougner, Richard J. Goldstone, Hanne Sophie Greve, Brigid Inder, Karim A.A. Khan, Adel Maged, Christopher B. Mahony, Teresa McHenry, Erik Møse, Juan Carlos Botero Navia, Karl Theodor Paschke, Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, Klaus Rackwitz, Christopher Staker, and William H. Wiley.
