LAST CALL for applications for the 2017 IAP Granting Programme

6/16/2017

Deadline for applications: Monday 3 July 2017

The IAP Granting Programme enables the IAP to offer financial assistance to prosecutors to attend IAP Annual Conferences, and is supported by voluntary contributions from governments and individual IAP members who have generously contributed to the Programme over the years.

The IAP is committed to promoting good relations between individual prosecutors and prosecutorial agencies, and to facilitating the exchange of information, expertise and experience.Towards this commitment, the IAP welcomes prosecutors from all regions of the world to its annual conferences, and aims to assist senior representatives of prosecution services and associations of prosecutors from as many developing countries (as defined by the United Nations DAC list) as possible to attend the IAP Annual Conferences.

Who is eligible for a grant?

A strong preference is given to prosecutors who are:

  • individual members of the IAP or a formal representative of an organisational member, and from a country on the United Nations DAC list; and
  • a senior member of his/her service or association whose attendance is approved by the head of that service or association.

Support will normally be provided to only one person from any country and generally does not cover the same person twice.

If you are interested in applying for the 2017 Granting Programme, please send a letter of inquiry to IAP Secretary-General Han Moraal at sg@iap-association.org by no later than by 3 July 2017. We use this letter to determine basic eligibility with our selection criteria.

Please note: in general, we receive more applicants than the IAP Granting Programme can fund, which might result in rejections of applications or a reduction of available financial support (partial grants).
