Han Moraal - Chair of the GPEN committee

Photograph of Han MoraalHan Moraal is the Secretary-General of the IAP and is currently the National Member for the Netherlands at Eurojust. Before that he was appointed as Prosecutor-General and member of the Board of Prosecutors-General and after that National Chief Advocate-General. He started as a prosecutor with the Public Prosecution Service in 1987 in Rotterdam, from where he moved in 1994 to the Zwolle Lelystad District Court. In 1996, Han Moraal was appointed Chief Public Prosecutor to the Flevoland police region, and in 1998, was appointed Chief Public Prosecutor at Groningen District Court, followed in 2003 with his appointment in 2007 as Chief Public Prosecutor at The Hague District Court.

Dr Ali AlBuainain

Photograph of Dr Ali AlBuainainDr. Ali AlBuainain is the Attorney General of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the IAP and Board member of GPEN. He holds PhD in Criminal Law and specializes in Criminal Procedures and Penal Codes. He delivers lectures locally and internationally and has published several books.

 

CheolKyu Hwang

Photograph of Cheol Kyu HwangDr Cheol-Kyu Hwang is the Chair Professor of Kyonggi University in Korea and Immediate Past President of the IAP.

From 2001 to 2003, he had served as a Legal Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Korea to the United Nations. Between 2006 and 2008, as Director of International Criminal Affairs Division at the Ministry of Justice he has dealt with plenty of transnational criminal cases including cyber-crimes. He took charge of preparation for the 4th World Summit for Prosecutors General, Attorneys General and Chief Prosecutors, and the 16th Annual Conference of IAP, held in Seoul in 2011 as Chief of International Cooperation Centre at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office (SPO).
