8th Regional Conference - 2008

Date: Wednesday 12 March 2008

Location: The Hague, the Netherlands

The Hague, the Netherlands 12 - 14 March 2008, 8th Regional Conference:
“Hate Crime”
Attendance: 52 participants from 20 countries.

8th European Regional Conference

The 8th IAP European Regional Conference will take place in The Hague on 12-14 March 2008. This year's subject will be Hate Crime and the focus will be on dealing with violent extremism, racism and other forms of discrimination. As part of the programme we shall again visit Eurojust in order to give participants an insight into how this regional organisation effects cross border co-operation and decision-making.

As ever this will be an excellent opportunity for more junior prosecutors, and those who do not have regular contact with colleagues from other countries, to meet their counterparts and to broaden their experience of differing jurisdictions and prosecutorial practices.

The cost of the conference is just 150. Places will be limited to 60 participants and from past experience we expect these to be booked at an early date. If you wish to attend the conference, or if you intend to send a member of your staff to the conference, please contact the Secretary-General (sg@iap-association.org) as soon as possible in order to secure a place.
