The National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute’s (NAGTRI) Center for Ethics and Public Integrity (CEPI) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the National Anticorruption Academy taking place at The Kimpton Grand Hotel Minneapolis from Monday, August 21, 2017 through Friday, August 25, 2017. Attendance to the Anticorruption Academy is restricted to Prosecutors, District Attorneys and Attorney General Staff. International attendees are welcome. The registration fee associated with this training is $995 for Prosecutors and District Attorneys and $750 for Attorney General Staff.
The Academy is designed for prosecutors who are, or intend to begin, prosecuting corruption cases. The training will facilitate discussion and cover topic areas related to: intake of corruption cases; investigation of white collar corruption (including financial analyses, wiretaps, confidential sources, and “cyber”); timing of investigations and charges; and trial issues and strategies. The training will also discuss ethical issues facing prosecutors in corruption cases, such as pretrial publicity and discovery challenges (including Brady). Please note that this Academy will be similar to the one conducted last year.
