Transportation

On the airport exit there is a Taxi information desk, located in the baggage reclaim area, where you can order taxi with the fixed price. From the airport to the city centre the fix price is approx. 1800 dinars (€16). Just have to say the address to the Taxi information desk officer, they will give a voucher with fixed price and will be going with you right to the first available taxi driver and you are paying that amount when you get to the desired address.

Distance between Nikola Tesla Airport and centre of Belgrade by car is 18.0 km (11 miles), and takes about 18 minutes drive, depending on traffic.

Climate

The climate in Belgrade is a moderate continental one, with an average daytime temperature in May  of 24,6 C. We expect nice time in Belgrade but make sure you check weather forecast website before packing: http://www.hidmet.gov.rs/index_eng.php

Time zone

Belgrade is in the Central European Time (CET) zone (GMT+1 hour). Summer time (GMT+2 hours) lasts from the end of March until the end of October.

Electricity and water

The standard voltage is 220 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hertz.

The public water supply in Serbian towns and cities is safe and palatable. There are a great number of brands of bottled water, both still and sparkling, widely sold at affordable prices.

Currency

The Serbian currency is the Serbian Dinar which comes in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000 and 5000 dinars; as well as coins of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 dinars. Money may be exchanged in all banks and post offices, as well as in authorized exchange offices, which you can find all around the city. Exchange rate is daily changed and is around 123 RSD for 1 EUR.

Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club) are accepted in most shops, and ATMs are widely available in Belgrade.

Safety

Belgrade is a safe city. All participants will receive a “badge” which they will need to be able to enter the Conference venue.
